About the event
Whether you are new to growing your own food, or a more experienced grower looking to change to more planet-friendly methods, this workshop will set you up with a range of techniques to work with. The workshop will include different ways to create your growing space, including no-dig, companion planting and crop rotation, DIY natural fertilisers and pest control as well as making use of what you have got in your surroundings first and foremost. The workshop is from 10.00am to 1.00pm, with a short tea break mid-way. Afterwards, from 1.00 to 2.00pm, you are invited to stay on for a further hour. Bring a packed lunch and join us by the pond – you can ask any burning questions you may still have, compare notes with your fellow participants, or just relax and enjoy the pond life.
