About the event
Whether you are new to growing your own food, or a more experienced grower looking to change to more planet-friendly methods, this workshop will set you up with a range of techniques to work with. The workshop will include different ways to create your growing space, including no-dig, companion planting and crop rotation, DIY natural fertilisers and pest control as well as making use of what you have got in your surroundings first and foremost.
The workshop is from 10am – 1pm, with a short tea break mid-way. Afterwards, from 1.00-2.00pm, you are invited to stay on for lunch by the pond for more food growing chat with Martina and your fellow particiants.
LUNCH - Bring your own, or order a Kento Bento Lunch Box for £6.50.
The Wasted Kitchen Kento Bento is a selection of salads and dips that lead with seasonal, local and excess produce. Suitable for vegetarians (for other dietary options please contact us).
Workshop Facilitator - Martina Holgersson
Martina founded Simply Grow Food to share her knowledge, passion and love for growing food with others who would like to live a happier, healthier and more sustainable life. She teaches edible gardening with a focus on making it suit the individual 100%, rather than follow a particular method, whilst caring for our precious planet. Martina offers coaching, workshops, online courses as well as daily inspiration on Instagram and her website.
